AI had always taken for granted that the boats were going south from Gairloch or Melveig when in fact they must of been going straight out past the northern tip of Skye. When I was wee I thought we could see Ireland from Melveig, but later learned it was the tip of Skye. Thanks Dave. PS some of you may notice that there are a few extra "Ls" in some of my letters.
