I was born in Glen Nevis and my birth certificate tells me that "The Glen" is in the Parish of Kilmallie. This document also states the following - District of Kilmallie in the County of Inverness. A close relative informs me that Glen Nevis has been in Kilmallie Parish as far back as the 1841 Census at least. It should be noted, however, that some other parts of Kilmallie lie in Argyll and not in Inverness - shire. In the old graveyard in Glen Nevis are buried the Camerons of Glen Nevis. At one time the Camerons that lived in this glen were known as the MacSorlies (sons of Samuel or more likely Somerled). Bill.
