Hi Peter, I guess I didn't explain it very well and I note I forgot to say Trevalyan Papers. The point between the two lists is that if they are on the HIES list they might not have sailed for Australia only the shipping list i.e. when they arrived here can tell you that. Also Raasay is an island sort of off Portree and John MacKinnon (and family) is a good example because he didn't make the on to the HIES list (except in the note) yet when it came to publicity they were happy to take his letter and publish under the name of HIES to get publicity for the HIES scheme.
