Kinlochleven is a small town about 20 miles south of Fort William and at the east end of Loch Leven. Until recently it was important for the manufacture of aluminium. Claggan, just across the river and a stone's throw from Glen Nevis, was in the Parish of Kilmonivaig rather than Kilmallie Parish in the 1881 Census so I reckon "The Glen" must have been in Kilmonivaig Parish at that time unless there was a sharp demarcation line in the shape of the river Nevis. However, I was born in Glen Nevis and my birth certificate tells me that I was born in the Parish of Kilmallie in the District of Kilmallie in the County of Inverness.
