    3. I have an Ordnance Survey map of Kintyre, Argyll, and it identifies quite a number of what looks like little beaches all up and down each coast of Kintyre. They have names like Port na Cuthaig, Port Righ, Port na Cuile, Port a' Chruidh and so on, but none that I can see called Port Chranaig. If someone who knows Gaelic could translate the name into English, you might find that helps.
