I welcome and appreciate any advice on research and information. --- Margaret MacDonald, b. 1813, bapt 1814, Tormore, Sleat, Isle of Skye, daughter of John MacDonald (farmer) and Mary MacPherson Siblings of Margaret Macdonald were: Ronald, chr. 5 Dec 1815 Sleat John, chr. 10 Aug 1817 Sleat James, chr 19 Sep 1820 Sleat Donald, chr 24 Sep 1823 Sleat Niel/Neil, chr 27 Jul 1828 Sleat Margaret married 1844, Sleat to Donald Buchanan (b. 1821), son of Roderick Buchanan and Margaret MacDonald, residence Airth. Emigrated to Australia aboard 'Thomas Arbuthnot' in 1849. Children were: Roderick b.1845 Skye, Christina bv 1848, John b. 1852 Aust. Donald is listed as not being able bodied or of good health.
