Some time ago, a few weeks, one of my many lists offered us a chance to buy into the purchase of a rare text. It was to be held in common by either the list owner or someone close to him/her. Some lister came up with the money to purchase it and the rest of us were encouraged to buy a piece of the action to pay him/her back...and we would get a CD copy. I sent my VISA card number to the respective site as instructed to get a copy of the CD which was to be prepared and mailed off to us...$10, I think...or L10 UK. My problem...again, I have lost all my data and I am not amused. To add insult to injury I have lost the details of what it was that I bought into and I have not received my CD. So, the obvious questions are: did I imagine all of this, does someone have my VISA number and is using it on the Left Bank of the Seine, or is it just that the deal has not wrapped up yet. If someone could enlighten me on this whole deal, I would be grateful. Darn, they said senility would not be this bad...first it was the whatsit and now its the brain! Al Dempster
