John, Your Obreachan could be Abriachan which is approx 6 - 7 miles from Inverness on the A82 (near Urquhart Castle) It is a very small community overlooking Loch Ness & is halfway between Inverness & Drumnadrochit. Incidentally the Dores you mention is on the opposite side of Loch Ness from Abriachan. Regards.
