The placenames are also sometimes more accurate than on the Keddy transcriptions. We also have worked with the HIES records and, generally where we have information as to what happened to people when they reached Australia, have the records in the People section of theClearances.org. Names are fully searchable, or you can search by vessel, port etc. For example, the Ontario passengers on whom we have some information are at http://theclearances.org/clearances/ships.php?voyageid=48 Best Wishes Douglas The Highland Clearances http://www.theclearances.org --=======34172CD5======= Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-avg=cert; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-789FA2F Content-Disposition: inline --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
