As far as I can make out there were only two hotels there at that time. The Victoria Hotel, built 1881, it then became the Alexandra Hotel and in 1923 The Columba hotel. The other The Palace Hotel was built in 1890. Try re-reading the document to see if you can make it out any better with this in mind. There was no Lanfield Rd. in Inverness as far as I can see, I would think that it my be Planefield Rd.. I don't suppose this is of any help to you but if I have time I will try to confirm it.
