Hello Jane, I think this could be my Murdoch McKenzie who was living in Daviot when his daughter, Janet, married in 1831. He married Cathrin McDonald from Aldozy in 1803 in Urquhart & Glenmoriston. As witnesses were often relatives it seems possible that there could be a connection between the McGillivray/McBeans and the McKenzie/McDonalds.
