    3. However it *is* possible for people with certain versions of Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to get certain viruses (eg Kakworm) from their regular e-mail (not attachments). I don't know whether RootsWeb will catch this, but I doubt it. The solution for this type of virus is to make sure your Microsoft e-mail program has been updated from their website or to use an e-mail program from another company. And/or to keep your anti virus program very current. (Mine missed it because I didn't bother to keep it updated). Most virus warnings are hoaxes. Most people now know to check a good website dealing with viruses for more information, rather than passing virus hoaxes along.
