    1. [SCT-INV-L] Kilmonivaig Parish Records Pre 1820
    2. Kay and Greg Blackburn
    3. Hello All. Because there is no reference in the IGI for any events of some of the families we are researching I have 2 questions to ask of any kind soul who has the knowledge and experience which I lack. First question:- Have all available Kilmonivaig Parish records been made available to the IGI, and have all those records been made accessible through familysearch? Second question:- It appears from my reading of McMillan and MacDonald that those who supported Bonnie Prince Charlie during the '45 were Catholic. Are any Catholic records on the IGI, and is there a specific area to search? I have not found any reference so far. If the Catholic records are not on the IGI where should I make enquiries? The families being researched pre 1820 are Alexander Kennedy and his wife Sarah Cameron. Alexander's parents are Ewen Kennedy and Ann MacDonald. Sarah's parents are John Cameron and Sarah McMillan. Alexander was born 1775. Sarah was born 1795. I do not know where abouts in the parish they were born, nor do I have any information about either set of parents; birth or marriage. In the papers that I do have mention is made first of Roy Bridge and later Brackletter. Could it be that all of these families lived between Roy Bridge and the confluence of the Spean and Loch Linnie during the period 1745 and 1820? That could have been on either side of the river. If anyone out there would care to offer their thoughts and ideas then perhaps I might find that little clue to unlock my puzzle. I would be forever grateful for any reply made to these questions. Regards Greg Blackburn in Raumati New Zealand.
