Hi Judy, I notice that one of your McBeans married somebody with the same surname as his mother's maiden name. This is very common in my family, who I think may have tended to marry relatives - I know that at least one couple were first cousins. My McDonalds are to complicated to set out as they are so interrelated but the details of the McDonald/McKenzie connection are: Cathrin McDonald (dau. of Duncan McDonald in Aldozy) m Murdoch McKenzie in 1803 Children: Kenneth 1803 Janet 1805 m Duncan McDonald (son to Alexander McDonald) in 1831 Mary 1815 Ann 1818 Ann 1820 They probably had other children between 1805 and 1815 but I haven't been able to find them. Children of Duncan McDonald and Janet McKenzie Catherine 1832 Alexander 1837 Kenneth 1839 m Mary McMillan (daughter to John McMillan & Christian McDonald) in 1865 Janet 1842 I would like to just ask if anybody has any information on another of my McDonalds. Angus McDonald from Urray, Ross & Cromarty married Catherine McMillan from Urquhurt, Inverness in 1850 but I haven't been able to trace a birth entry or parents for either of them.
