Sylvia, There is an Anne Kennedy or Davidson b. 10 July 1859 Kingussie & Insch, Inverness. Father Donald Kennedy, mother Elizabeth Davidson. When an entry has two last names, it usually indicates that the parents were not married. Have you tried writing to the India Office Library, Orbit House, 197 Blackfriars Road, London SE1. They hold mountains of records concerning India/Pakistan/Bangladesh. I understand these include death records. They might be worth a try. If you explain the problem they might be able to give you some direction. Elizabeth.
Thank you for this information and advice. I have filed this Kennedy birth information. I did go into an online India Office site that offered searching of the records and found that each search translated into about $100.00 Can. Before I go back to this site, I feel that I must have more information to go on. At this point I do not have even an exact birth date, exact birth place or the name of her birth mother. It was my hope in joining the List to find some Kennedy researcher who recognizes Annie Kennedy and her death in India as being a part of his/her family tree. I have not finished with the LDS records. If I can find the 2 boys, presumably b. in India, their names might offer a clue as to Annie's roots. Not much to go on yet and I do value any in-put.
