    3. I understand that my mother's cousin Valentine Chisholm was killed in World War I. I think this was Valentine Chisholm born on 23/08/1898 at 1 Roseberry Terrace, Inverness, son of Valentine Chisholm and Mary Forbes. The only V. Chisholm on the Commonwealth War Graves website is Private V Chisholm 9150, 2nd Bn., Border Regiment who died on 06 February 1915 Buried in Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleuxbaix There are no family details stated. I have recently found The Scottish National War Memorial website but there is no V. Chisholm detailed there. I wrote to the library in Inverness asking if there is a War Memorial in Inverness with his name on or would any local papers have carried any information about his death. I received a very helpful reply stating that the 'Inverness Courier' had been checked from 16 Feb. to 16 Mar. in both the death notices and war casualty listings but nothing was found. The letter also stated that there is a War memorial in Cavell Gardens but they had no published list of the names thereon. I was wondering if any kind lister lived in Inverness and could look at the War Memorial for me. Also does anyone know how complete the Commonwealth War Grave site or the Scottish War Memorial site is? If anyone has any information or suggestions I would be very pleased to hear from them.
