Can anyone help by telling me where to find genealogical information on Eigg, please. I believe that the parish is the Small Isles. I am trying to find more about the following family. Anne Stephenson Maclean, born about 1812? on South Uist, the eldest daughter of Rev Roderick Maclean minister of South Uist, married John Macdonald, tacksman of Keil (Kiell), Eigg and had, I believe 6 children. This information comes from "The Macleans of Boreray". I have found a transcript of the 1841 census which shows at Kiell John tacksman 50 Anne 25 ann 70 Mary 1 Norman 2 mths Mary 30 FS But I do not know where to find the 1851 census. The family did later move to Mull, but again I do not know when. with thanks Jane Macintyre
