My great grandmother, Julia Emily Keeth, was born in Inverness or Inverness-shire in 1840, according to some old family notes. Compulsory Birth Registration in Inverness-shire, I understand, did not start until 1851 and so I have not been able to discover exactly where she was born, or the names of her parents. I know from my research that there are a large number of people world-wide with the Keeth surname, and most of those families appear to have their origins in the Inverness area. I am hoping to obtain some definitive information on Julia Emily Keeth and her family from the 1840/1850/1860 Census' when they are published online with surname indexes.
