According to IGI (LDS), an Evan Fraser was born 2 April 1784 and christened 4 April 1784 in Kiltarlity, Inverness, Scotland to parents Alexander and Isabel Fraser. My gg-grandfather Evan Fraser was born in Scotland in 1784 according to the date on his tombstone in Ohio, USA. In l840, he stated on his application for US Citizenship that he had been in this country on or before 1812. He was married to Sarah Crossland (of Maryland). Their first child, Monroe, was born in 1821 in Pennsylvania (place unknown to me). Other children were born in Columbiana County, Ohio. The family was there until after the 1850 Census when they relocated in Washington County, Ohio. I have not been able to locate an immigration record for Evan.
