I am interested in any MacDonalds from the Isle of Skye. My gr-gr-grandmother Jane MacDonald lived in Portree parish about 1825. I don't have any positive information about her family although I think she may have had a brother, John, who moved to Michigan. If this registers with anyone. please contact me. Marion Markham

Hi Marion, I am descended from some MacDonald's on Skye. My grandfather, Neil MacDonald lived in Sleat and Strath on Skye. I know he was living at #11 Upper Breakish, Strath in 1901. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada first to live with his brother, John MacDonald then on to Michigan where he made his home. I haven't run across the name Jane in the research of my MacDonald's.
