They were married in Sleat Parish on 21 February 1827,and in Portree Parish on the 12 February 1827.The Portree Record reveals that John came from Coillemore in the Parish of Portree,and Christy from Camisecross (in Sleat). The Birth records in Portree only start in 1800,which was a good few years after John was born.However,there is a listing of a Donald born in February 1802 to Duncan McLeod and Annabella Matheson in Coillemore (Duncan's brother,presumably).Had a quick look for Coillemore on a map of the Portree area - couldn't find it,but it will be there somewhere.Incidentally,the Sleat birth records only start in 1813,hence no trace of Christy's baptism.
