I see on the IGI there is a birth recorded for an Angus McLeod on 2 July 1861 to Peggy McLeod,Sleat.(no father mentioned,so possibly he may be illegitimate).It might be worth checking out the Birth Certificate to see if the details tie in. I had a look at the 1861 Census for Camuscross,and in the village there is only one McLeod family recorded(who may,or may not,be related to Peggy/Margaret): -John McLEOD,head of household,mar,60,Ag.Lab.,b.Inverness,Portree. -Chirsty,wife,52,b.Inverness,Sleat. -Catherine,daughter,19,unm.,General Servant,b.Inv.,Sleat. -Duncan,son,unm.,16,General Servant,b.Inv.,Sleat.
