Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TeC.2ACE/1411.1 Message Board Post: Hi, I had a look in the 1851 Census for this family,but there is no evidence of them still being resident in the neighbourhood of Ardochy.Interestingly,there are about 6 or 7 households at Ardochy in the 1841 Census,but only one 10 years later. I am not able to give you much assistance over their origins prior to 1841,but the Records of the local Catholic Church are held (copies) at the National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh,and there should be Births and Marriages recorded from circa 1820.
