hi Peter dont know the context but if these places could be 'anywhere' then i suggest the first might be Musselburgh, just to the east of Edinburgh. The second, less convincingly, might be Troon, on the Ayrshire coast. the third has been stumped unless it is Dorset, which is a county of course, not a town.
