This applies to both volunteers who currently have film for transcription and those who may have volunteered in the past and whose transcriptions have been completed and returned. I also would like to hear from you if you received film from the previous coordinator - even if you have had problems and have been unable to complete any transcription. There is no time limit on the FreeCEN project and you should not worry about any delay in your piece. Equally, you are free to return untranscribed film to me. As the interim county coordinator, I am trying to ensure that things continue as smoothly as possible. I would very much appreciate your help in this. I am sorry to say that it it approaching the point where we may have to start 1841 transcription almost from scratch and allocate pieces to new volunteers. I have been very reluctant to do this as it would devalue the work of other volunteers. For those who have previously contacted me, I apologise for the delay in sorting things out.
