I would suggest that you go through the very copious notes made by A. M. Shaw (Mackintosh) that have been filmed by the LDS and you can order to view. There's also the Farr MS at I think NLS Edinburgh, but A. M. Shaw had access to these notes, and I think his are better. Perhaps you will find mention of your Alexander and Cath McLean... I have no idea where Roderick and Helen married Their first child was born in 1829. Their six children were all born in Inverness. Roderick died in Inverness on Oct.20,1862.
