Hello Everyone: I have here a death cert that states that the Father was Superintendent of Schools. The Father, John Arbuckle was born in 1798 and the son was born about 1825 in Strath. Would anyone know if the family would have had to move to Edinburgh or maybe Glasgow when John was appointed Superintendent. What the school system might have been back then. Any info appreciated.
