Wonder if anyone can suggest a different method of approach for me. My gr-gr-gr grandfather William GRANT and wife Christian McGREGOR lived and brought up family in Cromdale around the 1790's when my gr-gr grandfather David GRANT was born in 1794. l have searched parish records for their marriage long ago but apparently the church was burnt down early in 1790's thus l can go back no further. Have also searched through FAMILYSEARCH using custom search and batch numbers and it certainly seems nothing there. Is there an alternative source l could have tried?
