I am hoping someone will have information on this John Greig. This is my gggrandfather. This is the only information I have. John Greig, Pvt. of British 79th Regiment (Queens Own Cameron Highlanders) and wife Mary died in the cholera outbreak in Toronto, Canada in 1834, leaving my ggrandfather an orphan. In the family bible it say he was born in Inverness SCT. no birth date. I am at a dead end on this.
