Surnames: McLeod MacAullays Bell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TeC.2ACE/1140 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on Alexander Bell McLeod born May 1850 on South Uist. I believe his parents were John McLeod and Flora MacAullay. According to Canadian Census records Flora was born about 1826, but I cannot find any records of John and Flora's births or marriage or Alexander's birth. I also have no idea where the Bell name came from but he was proud of it. Any help would be appreciated.
