If no-one can help, you can go to Scotlands People and do census look-ups. Beware! It can eat up your money and is highly addictive. It costs £6 for 30 credits (not sure of NZ equivalent). Each page of possibles costs 1 credit but each download of individual pages whether birth, death, marriage or census page costs 5 credits. Your credits last for a week and, after that, you can't use any remaining credits until you buy more when you log on again so you don't actually lose them. My apologies if you already know about this resource but it took time for me to find out about it. Hope this helps. Hi Linda, Thanks for your email. I have used Scotlands People to obtain some death certificates in the past however I did not think that the 1851 census was available. Please let me know if I am wrong. £6 is roughly $20NZD so I consider it to be fairly good value for money compared with the cost of New Zealand Certificates.
