John is reportedly the father of my great, great, great grandfather Absalom Cameron who was born 30 July 1791, in Virginia, died 9 Sep 1856, in Grainger Co., Tennessee, and married Elizabeth "Betsey" Gallion / Galyon on 7 March 1812, in Grainger Co., Tennessee. The following Camerons were on the same ship and may be related though their former residence was not Beauly: Donald Cameron, 24 years old, former residence Fort Augustus Janet Cameron, 18 years old, former residence Loch Broom Any assistance finding sources in Beauly or elsewhere in Scotland about these Cameron family members will be much appreciated.
