    3. My family of Kennedy's came from Leanchanbeg after being cleared from the Brackletter far, Bell Kennedy daughter of Alexander Kennedy married Alexander MacDiarmid at Kilmonovaig in 1826, he was a war pensioner, after the 1841 census they disappeared until I " found" a reference to them in the Inverlochy castle records, Mrs. MacDiarmid who lived with her crippled husband is mentioned extolling the great quality of her vegetables and that Mrs. MacDiarmid and her husband lived in a wretched heather hut on the march of the castle, and again in 1847 when on boxing day there is another mention of the castle sending a little sugar and coffee to Mrs. MacDiarmid at the suggestion of Miss McDonnell, obviously a close relative. My Great Grandmother Isabella MacDiarmid always referred to her mother as Isabella McDonnell rather that Kennedy which she was, however her grandmother was a McDonnell. What I am looking for after all that is what would be the closest graveyard to the Inverlochy castle, they would not have been buried within the castle grounds but probably near to the castle and also the graveyards at CLUNES and BARBOUR have they been transcribed and are they available for purchase or research? The Inverlochy castle records that I mentioned was from a very Kind man who lives in South Africa and I have lost contact with ,he lived all his life in Spean bridge and was a wealth of knowledge on the Roy bridge area, would anyone know if the castle records are available for research. I am very interested in hearing from other researchers of Kennedy's from Leanchanbeg and Brackletter. Many thanks in anticipation Ray Gavan Sydney
