The Cameron Highlanders later the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. They heldthe keys of the town of Inverness for years they were the Inverness Regiment. (Not their name) But they owned Inverness. During the Korean War they would march them up Academy ST or upo the High St. and into the station. As the train would pull out the pipes would aye play We're NAe Awa tae Bide Awa. There were a lot of Campbell's round Caudor Castle back then I believe, working in the massive gardens. A grand place for wee boys to nic fruit and vegies from. No me mind you I was a good one but the big boys did it. Hope this helps a wee bit.
