I cannot confirm, but Isle of Skye has been mentioned by past generations. My interest in finding information on this relative, 2x Great Grandfather, has come about from finding his birth certificate with the following details: Date of birth-31/12/1866, Harripool, Parish of Strath, son of Donald MacKinnon, crofter and Margaret MacKinnon (nee MacDonald).
