My mother was called Margaret McLeod James after her. Malcolm was brought up with his grandparents Neil and Christy McKay and later I have him with his uncle John McKay in1871 after his grandparents have died. I have a lot of information on his brothers and sisters, but could not find anything about him, I though he might hve emigrated. There is a mystery with his father who we cannot find a death certificate for but we believe he was lost at sea in 1881/2 during storms. I have a lot of information on Malcom's family and would be quite happy to share it with you if you want to drop me a email with a contact email address. I notice you have been talking to Joan who is also a distant relation via the McKay side and has been of great assistance to me. Do you have any certificates for Malcolm? - marriage/death. I would be interested in the details about his father Norman.
