Greetings. It has been a bit difficult to find much information on this branch of my MacDonalds, but I can tell you they lived, and some may still live on the land just west of Urquhart Castle, and some were in Inverness as well. I know my gg grandfather Duncan left his family there and came to the US when he was 21, in about 1875. He led the family sheep up Glen Urquhart in the spring to get better feed, the legend has it, though I don't know that for fact. Does anyone have any knowledge of this family? Many thanks.
