There's a family story that claims Wm came out from Scotland with a sister & possibly also a brother,who are believed to have returned to Scotland. A family member has a portrait,said to be of Williams sister & thought to have been painted in Singapore.Not sure how much of this is true,but have seen the painting as it belonged to my Dad for a time. William may also have been a Mason,apparently when he died the Masons provided Jane & the children with a rent free house in Lyttelton. I know very little about Jane & would be glad if you have any information about her.
