Can anyone advise what "pre-cognition" means written on the side of a Scottish Death Certificate please? Yvonne
Not sure exactly but it sounds like there was a sudden death and an investigation by the FIscal. Hi there Yvonne I will answer your question on list if you dont mind as this will probably be of general interest. The Procurator Fiscal is part of the Scottish legal system. Its all explained here: http://www.dundee.ac.uk/forensicmedicine/llb/deathinvestig.htm (go to the top of the page and click the link to find the bit about the PF) According to this site (a university legal dept) the type of death you describe would automatically lead to an investigation. This of course is current information and you need to take account any changes to the law that may have taken place since the event.
