I have a Malcolm Macleod, born circa 1855 in renton, Dunbarton. His parents were Norman Mcleod and Katherine Mcleod, nee McKay. Malcolm married either eliza or alexa? Bethune at South Leith Parish Church on 23rd April 1880. From the 1891 census they still lived at 53 The Shore, Leith, which is where they were when they were married. By 1891 They had 4 children. Christina 10, Malcolm 6, Mary 4 and Catherine aged 2. Malcolm was a fisherman when married at 25 and then by the time the census was done in 1891 he was a dock labourer. Hopefully we are talking about the same Malcolm, I just thought you might like to know what happened to him if you didn`t already know. I think we are because I`ve just stumbled across my first Mckay, his mother, Katherine. Christina, Malcolms daughter, is my maternal grandfathers, mother.
