Hi Folks, In an earlier message I promised the ordering data for Drummer on Foot (DOF). For those that missed it, DOF is a series of 90 articles that appeared in THE CASKET, from 1912 to 1918. DOF is an invaluable supplement to the History of Inverness County and the two versions of the History of Antigonish County. In many cases, DOF gives the Scottish origins of the pioneers, some back several generations. It also describes several individuals and families that left Antigonish for Inverness County and some onto the Western shores of Newfoundland - Bay St. George and the Codroy Valley. DOF may be ordered from: Donald MacFarlane, 27 Grove Road, Natick, MA 01760 Macfard@massed.net US funds $14.95 + S&H $1.25, Total $16.20 - CAN $19.95, S&H $1.75, Total $21.70. Donald has a WEB site at: Marit ime Mosaic and it's well worth a visit for those with MacFarlanes and other Highland Scot surnames in their family lines. DOF can also be ordered from local bookstores in the area of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I have no monetary interest, direct or indirect, in DOF. I do think it's worth every penny and I wouldn't be without it. Good luck with your research.
