Dear List, I am trying to find my Fraser family in Inverness-shire. At this stage in my research and with the help of this list I have found a possible connection to Bunchrew in the parish of Kirkhill. I am hoping that there may be some knowledgeable person on this list who may be able to help me. I found the following baptism in the OPR for Kirkhill: OPR Kirkhill (103/1) 16 Aug 1796 Simon McGillivray Servant to General Fraser Bruiach at Bunchrue and his spouse Anne Fraser had a male child born yesterday noon baptised at this date and called Peter in presence of Donald McLeod in Bunchrue and the kirk officer. Would this General Fraser be the same person as Simon Fraser Lieutenant General and Tacksman of Bunchrew who died about 1814. Also, On the following website there is a letter from Colonel Simon Fraser which contains the following passage: http://www.clanfraser.ca/78th.htm "Bruiach's boys are well & the eldest my secretary & a very great favourite." Does anyone know who Bruiach's boys were or have any ideas about where I could find this information. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Christine
