I am looking for information about seven Cameron brothers who supposedly emigrated from Inverness to Upper Canada about 1826. Their names are Angus, Laughlin, Neil, Charlie, Peter , John and Hugh. This information was in a book titled Directory of Scottish Settlers in North America 1625-1825. The brothers I am looking for settled eventually in Oro Township but may have started in Thorah. Does anyone know of this family or have access to the book? I am looking for my ancestor, Duncan Cameron born in Argyllshire about 1792. He married Margaret Sinclair, possibly from Islay, and emigrated to Canada with their daughter Mary about 1834. The brothers may or may not have been relatives of Duncan. Marjorie Cameron McQuay
