Hello List, This is a technical question. I have 2 marriage registrations-Applegarth Dumfries November 1843 and Kingussie and Insch December 1843 for Andrew MILLAR and Mary HOUSTON. Mary was christened in Kirkcudbright but working at Cluny Castle on the 1841 census. Andrew's father David was a miller at Cluny Mill. Would Andrew and Mary have to appear in both locations to register their marriage?? Would the November date be the actual marriage date in Dumfries??
