He was in the Peninsular War. And, was at the Battle of Corunna. You would have heard of the Battle of Corunna in the history of Scotland, or the Peninsular War against Napoleon. That was in 1812. You'd have heard the poem, "Not a drum was heard, Not a funeral note in our course to the ramparts we hurried, Not a soldier discharged his farewell shot Over the grave of the hero we buried." That was General Sir John Moore. That was the man - he was the commander of the British Army and he was killed. "We buried him darkly, at the dead of night, The sods with our bayonets turning and the struggling moonbeams misty light and the lantern was dimly burning. Few and short were the prayers we said.
