Would SKS who has access to the 1841 Census for the parish of Knockbain R &C mind looking up a family of McKenzies,father Donald,mother Janet McBain. Donald or one of his sons should be resident at Kessock as the local ferryman or boatman. It is likely that Donald may have retired as he would be about 75 at the time the census was taken.
