There was a query about James SIMPSON, but in a rash of deleting it vanished. On the 1881 census is James SIMPSON age 48 yrs. a Slater, said to be born Ormiston, East Lothian, & living 11 Youngs Close, Dalkeith, Edinburgh, with wife Jane age 54 & children. Is he the son of William SIMPSON & Marion ( m.s. KING ) ? The James Simpson that I am looking for was born Pencaitland, ( next door Parish ), Baptised or born March 1835. Given that not all census information given was correct, & he seems to be the only James who fits, I am pinning my hopes on this James. Is anyone researching this family ?
