I am researching this family as a surprise for a friends birthday. I am looking for ANY family &/or information on Thomas HERRIOT who married Jane DAVIES on 25 Sep 1842 in Edinburgh Parish. They had a son John born 1845. John emigrated to New Zealand & married Margaret PATERSON in 1871. Margaret was a daughter of Richard PATERSON & Janet WRIGHT. She was born 1836 in Aberdour, Fifeshire.Scotland. She died 1891 in Christchurch. NZ. John died 1923 in ashburton, NZ.Their children were... (1_Robert HERRIOT born 1873-died 1940 He married Louisa WAGHORN 1898 @ Akaroa, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand. Louisa was a daughter of Richard & Elizabeth WAGHORN.
