That sounds solid enough, but I'm afraid the book only lists the following: Surname Died Gender Grave Ref AITKEN 1901 M F342 Pre-1855 Birth, Religious AITKEN 1907 F F342 Pre-1855 Birth AITKEN 1909 M J492 Pre-1855 Birth AITKEN 1924 F J492 AITKEN 1969 F J492 AITKEN 1912 M D036 Pre-1855 Birth AITKEN 1950 F D036 AITKEN 1886 F K184 Religious AITKEN 1918 F C327 Military The book categorises some of the gravestones, and I've put these in the last column. Do any of these groups look familiar? As the 1918 death was tagged as "Military", I took an interest in it and discovered it was for a Mary Aitken. I'll have a photo of it in my collection, if you are interested. If none of the above look promising, remember that the book is an index of gravestones rather than burials, so it is possible that there was never a stone, or that the stone had disappeared when the book was compiled in 1984. If you approach the Council office responsible for cemeteries, they should hopefully be able to give you details of the burial. Since you know the cemetery and the date of burial the search should be quick and they probably won't charge. Hello Forrest, sorry to be so rude and but in, but noticed that you mentioned Golf Clubmakers were buried here. Are there any PAXTON Clubmakers at all here please. I Am asking as my Paxton's were Golf Professionals and Golf Ball Makers and Club Makers. My 2X Great Grandfather James Paxton born in Musselburgh in 1830 and my Great Grandfather James Paxton born 1860 born in Musselburgh but died in 1921 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Also George Paxton son of James Paxton and Elizabeth/Betsey Sharp and brother of my Great Grandfather James Paxton. George Paxton Golf Ball Maker died in May 1884. Just thought I would ask just in case they were buried here. George and James Paxton also had another brother named Peter Paxton who made Golf ball's and Gold Clubs they were all born in Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Peter Paxton born in 1857 and died at 1, Old Church Road, Romford, Essex, England. and is buried in Crow Lane Cemetery, Romford, Essex, England. Any Information would be appriciated.
