A preliminary search of the 1841 census for David Bennett pulled up no matches on Scotland's People specifying Edinburgh as a likely place/same specifying soundex. There were other matches for all counties. If you go to Scotland's People, register and log on you can search 1841 census to your heart's content. With more than one match for a David Bennett for all counties you'll need some specifics otherwise it will cost you in pay for view fees. If you have family information that will lead you to a specific county or parish you may have a chance. Susan

I have previously, unsuccesfully, searched Scotlandspeople, the OPR's, and almost every research facility available for information on David Bennett and his family.
